HI VSNL SHELL ACCOUNT USERS I HOPE THIS PAGE GETS QUICKLY LOADED
IF YOUR USING  SHELLSOCK.

HERE ARE A FEW TIPS ,I HOPE U FIND THEM HELPFUL
1     I have heard something called   SENSE/NET is come up something like shellsock
2     HEY guys has shellsock made life easier or u r too buged because its slow?
      Why don't u use  EUDORA LIGHT  for writing mails offline and then sending them.
      It works perfectly with my shell account .It can be used by Windows 3.1/3.11 users too.
      I know u can use cut or copy and paste for emails when using pine while u r online
      but u'd love eudora as everything is done in a jiffy
      Now how do i get eudora? .If u have purchased the Chip magzines or PC QUEST
      u will find EUDORA LIGHT  on the CDs. Scripts for eudora are available at  www.vsnl.net.in/mail
3    HyperTerminal has been my all time favourite terminal app.But if your too keen to see the pictures while
      your downloading them u can get this great terminal program called  ZOC ,configure it properly and view images while
      downloading its a shareware available at  www.emtec.com
4.   Some lynx tips
      give Lynx a new outlook by changing the options press "O" and "change to links are numbered"
      by pressing "L" and the down arrow key.Browse really quick now just pressing the link numbers
5    Have u tried this! what? on pages containg images, sound ,links etc which u think you are unable to access
       press shift+8 i.e"*" and then enjoy as all links on the page get highlighted
6     Do u now that a new software for vsnl shell account has been  released
       seems good but the max rate i have got with it is 9600 bps but i say its quite good .What's its name?

7     Finally publish your own page for free by signing on with
      here u have a homepage builder take all the advantage of it
      doesn't matter if u got a shell account
      I made this page using Netscape Composer which came along with Nescape Communicator
      I don't know a bit about HTML but its great  with Netscape Composer
      I heard u can make it even with Word97
8    I have visited various sites and download shell tips pages and put them in a zip file
      u can download these pages   TIPS.ZIP
9    For quick downloading from shell prompt(unix prompt) use this great command
      "sz -beru filename.aaa" where filename.aaa is the name of your file
